Somewhere between Hunter S. Thompson and Charlie Mackenzie, I find myself to be something it throws me loops.
Somewhere between Clark Gable and Crispin Glover, I am stuck in a whirlwind of perspective.
Somewhere between Justin Timberlake and Biz Markie, I sit silently wondering how I got here.
Somewhere between The Waterloo Bridge and Westminster Abbey, an American boy misplaced his mind.
I wrote this poem on a bus in London during my study abroad in 2014. I was having trouble finding an identity among the many Londoners who seemed to know where they were going. I was 21 and it didn't seem clear which direction I wanted to commit to or even if I wanted to commit to a direction at all.
