Was coming back from work
all tired and spent from the day,
when with a smile on her face
a beautiful stranger passed me by.

It lasted just a few seconds
but my weariness was gone -
for that smile was mercy
the Lord Almighty had shown.

I looked into her eyes
in that moment ephemeral,
and smiled back
wishing that the moment was eternal

That moment had no past, no future
and though it sounds too dramatic -
It was about living in the moment,
God! That moment was magic!
xeno
n. the smallest measurable unit of human connection, typically exchanged between passing strangers—a flirtatious glance, a sympathetic nod, a shared laugh about some odd coincidence—moments that are fleeting and random but still contain powerful emotional nutrients that can alleviate the symptoms of feeling alone
