you say you love
the earth
love the ocean
but you don’t really do
otherwise you wouldn’t
have ****** poison in there;
and even when you protest
you do, you do
you just love it for your own
and so I’m taking it away from you

you say you love
the skies
but do you really do?
why then do you spew
deadly gases into the air
and blow holes in the sky?
and even when you protest
love, love for the sky
you just love for your own
and so I’m taking it away from you

you say you love
the birds and the trees
and the creatures and the earth
but you don’t act as you do
for you’ve dragged them all
to utility and objects of desire
and even when you plead
you love them, love them all
you just love it for commerce
and your appetite
you love it for you
so I’m taking them away from you

and so I’m taking them all away
from you and you and you
and you can have yourself to yourself
for that’s all you really love
you love you
and you get what you truly love;
so you can sit there
in a cold corner of desolate space
with yourself for you
