If you weren't so selfish
If you could look into my eyes and think the way I do
If you could wear my soul like a snake skin, slither into body
Shed away the ideologies of self perception like scales in the dirt
Would you dream as I do, dream of a bright future in distant lands meeting strangers in foreign sands
Or would your stagnant view of comfort leave venom dripping from your mouth like a toxic wasteland
I can never leave for as long as I'm with you
I fell for a bite of passion, a mouse in a trap
All I wanted was to shed this place
But now I'm
Stuck
