Block-Sestina

Writers block A binding curse The worst agony A poet feels As they take a seat To make something new But the ideas aren't new No, there's a block And you melt in your seat The return of the curse The return of the agony They know how it feels And it feels like agony But that isn't new How everyone feels Surmounting the block Defeating the curse Fighting in your seat And in your seat Enduring the agony Write, rewrite, read, curse And repeat, nothing new Just the block That everyone feels And everyone feels Frustration's seat Seat on the block The block of agony The block of un-new The block, the curse Curse...curse A curse everyone feels... A curse that's not new... A curse in your seat... A curse that's agony... A curse...writer's block! That's it! Simply written When nothing is!
