Things I Do

Laugh, when I want to cry

Smile and joke, when I would love to scream

Sing, when I would much rather be silent

Love, when I want to hate

Pretend like I don't want what I would give anything for

Sleep, when I'm feeling wide awake

Act like ignorance is bliss, when I know it isn't

Take the words like they are nothing, as they cut me

Rationalize your actions, when you don't deserve it

And forgive, but never forget
