Left alone.

by nahke

I let my guard down for a minute but faster than the speed of light you hurt me. I trusted your palm in mine but the first chance you got, you let go. I cared for you like a sister but in a heartbeat you took me for granted. I loved you unconditionally but in a blink of an eye you abandoned me. I promised I'd never leave and so did you but before I knew it, I was left alone with all the tears and memories .
