She looked deep into his milky grey eyes,
What she saw wasn't happiness.
It was the deepest sadness,
The deepest longing for something she didn't know of.
His eyes always looked like that,
Like pure darkness.
That's what drew her to him,
Those eyes, That sadness.
She begged him to tell her why his eyes looked like that,
He would never tell her.
He would just say it was who he was.
She knew that was a lie,
He wasn't a deep dark person.
He has a aura so bright,
That you could see it from miles away.
She thinks his eyes are like that because it was his inner demons showing through his eyes.
She knew in his own time he would tell her about his demons,
Until then she would look into his eyes and wonder what could make him so sad.
