An imagined being
A personified breath
Breathing in
Breathing out
The once poison gas is now the staple
The life blood for my forsaken soul
“Please save me”
“I don’t want this aching of the chest
I can’t breathe without the noxious fumes”
Begging for one more night in the ecstasy
Never to know if it will ever recover
Never wanting to recover
