Have you ever thought
What ends up in your head?
An endless sea, a raging storm
The calm of ages crashing
with times attempts at cages
Broken free we sail only to be

The Cage was time and time was caged
They locked us away and sent us to sway
Forever and never sailing on the sea
Never to be free but fleeing from them like a ghost
We became the mist the endless expanse.

Always seeing the horizon
never seeing the setting sun
Trapped by the sea, but still very free
A ship of silver, sailing on the sea
See the sun set but never dim
Never to rise, for a new day to be

But do you care? When your cage is the sea?
The sea that is ceaseless to be
Both kind and cruel? Tormentor and friend?
When you have a freedom so broad
That not even time can break its hold
On man and dream and longing old?

Never ashamed to **** without mercy
Then call back more to be
Devoured and destroyed.
But is it a loss?
For did they not first live like no one else?
Forever free, captured by the sea?
