Payne’s Gray
Baby* stay with me
just linger here for a while
Maybe
we’ll be together
forever
with a smile
On your face I see
eternity coming to
beguile
Me
as if
I’m walking with you
down the aisle
Tell me
how this
Payne’s Gray
of yours
struck me in the eye
So wonderful
lately I’m in a state of daze
and my face just can
deny
Like a bunch of rose petals
falling down from the sky
Straight to the bedlike-cobwebs
where you and I
lie
The
strands
of my hair
are filled with your
Payne’s Gray
Let’s watch the moonlight
as it touches the day
Don’t
ask
why
just sit
beside
me
come what may
Come what may
your Payne’s Gray
Sleep with me for the night is through
and the day is coming
Loosen
your tight
forget about the world
and just think of
nothing
Empty
your sight
like you don’t want to see
what tomorrow
may
bring
The daylight-stricken strands of my hair
with your
Payne’s Gray
shining
