I want to crawl into my pages
And hide behind my words
Placed within these spaces
As you speak of what you've heard

Left to my devices
To tell my stories of a truth
A reader and a writer,
It's witty what words can do

With a rip of the pages
I fold myself into origami
To be placed inside a bottle
Then cast out to sea

A tiny little birdy
The intangible written about
A message in a bottle
Words with wings that scout

Trapped beneath the glass
A beautiful home is it
To live through all eternity
A bottle to a kiss

Hopeful that it does not break
For if it does,
Then I shall sink
And flutter in the mess
Taking sips of my own drink
I am a free writer, and enjoy using metaphors and painting pictures with my writings. I try to stay on format, but some of my writings just flow how they want. This one is more of a poem, but i also write in a more lyrical sense. Let me know what you think. I truly appreciate helpful critique.. I really want to grow in my writings. Thanks for your time :)
