What I've Lost
I can feel you slipping away
And with you goes my heart.
With one last breath you leave me
And I’m lost again
So lost
I can feel my own cold shoulder
Melting at your touch.
But it’s not real, the trust is lost.
This moments not eternal
What I’d give to have you stay with me
To never lose you in sight.
And I’d stop crying every night
From the weight of all I’ve lost
A part of me is missing
A gaping hole here in my chest
Can’t you see it, can’t everyone?
I can’t seem to see anything else
Only with you will I be whole again
With you I won’t be lost
What I’d give to have you back again
To gain back what I’ve lost
