A forest fire is reckless and wild
Scorching anything and everything in its path without a thought
Wreaking havoc on the helpless trees
Melting the foliage to ashes
Choking them with the smoke of their own self destruction
As they watch themselves burn
Then vanishing into nothingness
Leaving the woods charred and broken
Branded with the blackness of the flame's presence-
A signature left behind to claim the wreckage
And proudly display it as the flame's handiwork.

I am the woodland, and you are the inferno.
