Once upon a time, thoughts arrived like butterflies,
but I'm still alive; what they want her to be is weak,
and all I taught her was everything,
as the dead lay in pools of maroon below.

Waves roll in my thoughts, and the cross I'm bearing home ain't indicative of my place , so I will walk with my hands bound on the edge of a Christmas Clean love.

But I will hold the pain!
Pearl Jam became my favorite band in the 8th grade but I wrote this in my sophomore year of high school.  Nothing too spectacular, I just took lines from every song off PJ's first album and constructed it into some prose.  None of these lines are of my own imagination, just their arrangement is.
