What I hoped I could let you see

was the warming person you brought out of me.

What I wanted, yearning thus far

is not what became of who we are.

What cruelty this world made true,

I would shut out completely -caring only for you.

What she did - so callous that knife,

I would have gladly re-payed unto her life.

And now what all trust we had built upon

is a slowly fading dream - all but gone.
