Midtown Scholar
Vanilla mint chai
the taste attaches
to refracted light
from the gothic stained glass
Ornate banisters
mingle with the curves
of human perspective
human inspiration
Golden tunes
pulse my brain to desire
a crawl between literatures
into historical corridors
To escape the biting cold of the streets
to perch upon an easy wave
of knowledge and knowledge yet gained
that would be
living the dream
written at, what seems to be, a thrift store of books
