There's cracks in my bones
between my knees
through my back
around my arms
They wind around and around
growing deeper with every injury,
the constant wear and tear
on such a tiny body
There are cracks
in my brain
where memories meet
fantasies meet
hopes and dreams
There's cracks in my words
between I Love You
and You Are Perfect
there's cracks
where our bodies don't touch
even though we're so close
I can hear your heart beating
like a hammer on cloth

there's cracks in all the places
we can't reach, we can't leak in to
there's cracks
there's so many cracks

you fill them
