Poems
Feb 2014
night writing on a black robe
her father
of tame abandon
given to sayings
any such
that would
when uttered
refute the admittance
wrongfully present
in so many
confessions.
all boxes contain the same amount of silence.
he surrounded himself with boxes.
when she moved
he said nothing.
there was a night
my crow dark mouth
held a small priest
who gave his head
to be smotheredβ¦
I go as a mute to the oral history of praying hands.
