Take my hand

place it over your chest,

off centered to the left,

and breathe.

There is so much nostalgia

in the way your heart beats,

I feel like

I've spent my whole life

counting the spaces between them,

holding my breath till your next.

Take my hands

between yours

and look me in the eye:

I will love you,

love you till I can't remember my own name,

and then some.
