Stars

i looked up and saw them steady in position, outlined in black amazed by the tremulous shine a never-ending radiant light i laid there, pensive are those stars meant to fill me with joy? they make the sad; happy they give the lost; guidance they give the lonely; hope they cure faint hearts. they make old-fashioned love feel existent. were they placed there to be my comfort? i’ve never known such passion. they felt closer than ever before still it does not satisfy my thirst i want to be wrapped in them. just i, alone. this is how it felt, when i caught sight of your eyes from across the room.
