Because I thought there were rats inside of me
And sprayed the inside of my mouth with pesticide
Because I could feel the bugs crawling up and down my throat
That day I tried to drown myself
Was only because I thought
If my demons knew how to swim
Escape would be easy
When I opened up my arms
I only wanted to free the nightmares
I took thirty- six sleeping pills
Because I thought it would
Hush the voices in my mind
The whole gallon of gasoline
Was not intended
Just enough ( A few ounces or so)
So the fire inside of me would burn out
And the cup of charcoal
Because I realized
I wanted everything back*
