The days they pass, One by one, Recorded by the rising sun. As I wake, I look to the right, Looking for your ray of light, But all I see is empty space, No longer will I see your face, No longer will I feel your embrace, as i rise to make some tea, each cup full of memory. As the milk hits with a splash, My memories are dashed. I will forever smile, but never forget, my heart torn and twisted, and full of regret. One day I'll learn, I'll patiently await my turn, And with each sun rise and fall, Despite my pain, I'll try and stand tall.
