Sing with the fire
as it burns through
daylight

Dance with the sun
as it drowns in the night

By this time in the
yesterday you’ll know
the way the wind moves
and how the pale stars echo
far past the skyline

Listen close to the storm
as my sadness falls
Sounding off in order
one by one

My madness floats
in like a breeze on a
frozen day as
your love leaves
my soul like it
did again the other day
only to creep back in
like a stealthy thief that
lost his crown to a beggar
on the street
