Just Between Friends

A night out together

having some drinks,

secrets and stories

who cares

what they think!

It's been a while

since we sat and talked

laughed and danced

cried and joked.

Around the room

they sit and look

with curious eyes,

like a scene from a book.

Could friends be

so close

in body and mind,

thinking the same

talking in time....

The night goes on,

some crowd around

to share in their laughs

and sing out loud.

Our fun is magnetic

contagious in fact

and when the night is over,

we'll always look back

to a night of stories

of giggles

and fun,

and the best part of all

we needed no one

We say goodbye

with kisses

and hugs

for a night

to remember

our friendship

with love.
