Void
I can feel a hole
Deep in my soul,
and I know it's where you used to be.
I thought you filled it,
but I was mistaken.
When you left me forsaken
I knew the truth.
I can no longer avoid
that this void
will never be filled by someone like you,
or entirely unlike you.
And it is plain to me that
this vacany will remain
For it has always been here,
always will be here.
I now see it plain
what was, what is, and what will be.
I will fill this void myself,
or it shall consume me.
