what happened to the girl that I used to know
as tiny clear crystals run down my cheek
she was sweet and innocent--
now she has slipped away
she followed the footsteps of her dad
who left the family for a little bit of
crack
she slowly smoked as the room got blurry
no one was there to help her,
she had left everyone behind
she tried to call out.
but she was met with silence.
her mascara began to smear,
her eyes blinked for the last time,
the end was beginning and no one was there..
she overdosed on broken promises,
just like her father,
they shall be together once more
