The night falls in a heavy, suffocating cloak- lost was she..
The light for which she prayed, flared once,
than died,devoured by the all encompassing dark.
All hope had surely perished-
her heart beats no more..

For the one she loved had deceived her trust
and murdered what dignity she had.
How could she face the world with the knowledge
of how foolish she had been?
When time had lapsed and life was red;
all that she had cherished, crumbled at her feet.

She walked through the ruins of what used to be her essence.
She searched for a slight of hope through the dissipated rubble-
Only to find more deceit and betrayal buried beneath.
"For of course I lost the battle," She cried.
"I had not even known about the the war!"
