Had I only chosen another place to be,
another face for my eyes to see.
Had I just said yes and thrown my spirit
into life's calm gentle breeze. Could I
have just floated contently, as the
boat does over the sea?
Had I known the fruition of my actions
or lack thereof- I am standing on the verge,
just a firm, swift shove.
So she asked why i was gone forever and
"why didn't you come back to set me free?"
"Had I only been some place else
with different eyes to see, you'd be happy
had I been anyone but me."
