THERE'S ELECTRICITY IN HER TOUCH
AND THE SCENT OF HER STIRS AROUND MY BED LIKE A GHOST
I CANNOT HOLD HER
I REACH FOR HER IN THE DARKNESS
HER HAIR SWIRLING AROUND ME IN MY MINDS EYE
BEGGING TO FEEL HER WEIGHT ON ME
TO ABSORB THE PULSE OF HER POUNDING HEART
IT SLOWLY DISSIPATES LIKE SMOKE
MY SENSES RETURN
MY DREAMS CRUSTED IN MY EYES
I LAY AWAKE AND PRAY FOR DAWN
