That good love thing inside her
Suddenly stops
Replaced
Hollow
It's a physical feeling
Not again
She leaves their bed and runs to the kitchen
She must be thirsty
No?
She frantically looks around and tries
Any logical thing
To fill this pit
It feels real.
Like hands clawing at air inside her chest.
Will you help me  feel better?
It hurts
Can you help me  feel better?
It feels sick
He looks at her
A look she's seen before
And this won't be different
And she knows he can't help her.
She leaves again.
You were wonderful.
She's sorry.
Thank you for trying.
She's broken.
I have to go now.
She breaks you too.

But she knows you will heal.
They all do.
