The clock laughs at me. My cycle breaks the norm. The moon calls me out to play, The sun sings me sweet lullabies. When the world is abuzz, and you slumber everything slows. You wake and it's calm, The quiet of the night wraps you in it's cooling embrace. The moon's rays bathe my skin in it's milky light. She paints a blue wash over the world and colors my vision in softness. We converse for a time, but all too soon she bids me good day and heads to sleep. The sky lightens in the east and brings the rest of the world awake. The light of morning has come and sets the horizon aflame. With it's vivid assault on the sky the birds begin to sing the song of morning. The sun peeks over the horizon and begins his sweet melody. My eyes begin to turn leaden, and my energy to wane. Take me to bed, O daytime friend. Put me to bed with your warmth. Soothe my ache, this need for sleep, and lull me down to bed. The world begins to move about and i become still. the sun brushes my hair from my cheek and caresses my skin. It whispers to me to sleep now, It tells me the promise of later. He serenades me. He tells me that my tomorrow starts tonight. Come, come sleep with me, weary one. I will keep you warm. Sleep with me, I will chase away the bad. Raise your dreams up to my light, I will filter out the bad. Lower your lashes, Relax.
