Morning Glory
Morning breaks across the land
Child cries for the day at hand
Sun rises from the North
And sets onto a sea of green
A gentle kiss from a razors edge
Painfully close to the prison ledge
Jumping off into the air
Falling to the sky below
Feet firmly planted on the ground
Eyes listening to every sound
Steps heard from behind
Belong to the person up ahead
Cloudless rain falls from the sky
Drips into the blinded eye
And causes it to see the world
As it truly is.
