I hope it was worth losing every piece of yourself
for the fallacy of being adored
I hope you don't wake at night
mourning the parts of you that you buried in the earth

you were sitting to my right and I missed you
in the way that you miss your train
I was standing in oblivion, waiting
but you were only getting further away

you can lock all the doors
you can't stop them from knocking
you can shut tight your mind
but the voices will get in

laughing, reminding and mocking
