My heart,
was suspended by a string,
dangling.
You cut it.
Swore you would protect it,
never harm it.
You broke it.
I left,
crying,
lost,
he found me.
Offered to pick up the pieces,
wanting to put me back together.
I pushed him away,
not wanting to be broken, battered,
again.
He left.
I cried,
alone.
You succeeded,
I'm still lost.
