Walking through a big house
empty save the ghosts who roam my halls
though my loneliness invites them
around corners
in vacant rooms
lost souls not much different than mine

Pushing past a dusty door
a ghost’s inhabited this room for a decade
I patiently listen to its tale
sharp blades
many lustful hands
lost soul searching for different love

I open the sun-faced shades
frightening the lonely ghosts in my head
the beams chase them away
from corners
and vacant rooms
lost souls leaving mine to be free
