Goodbye to History

And lost we are

We’ve been too far

No walls

No boundaries

Yet shackled

By unseen ties

To be apart

Without the time

For freedom and we

Could never be

No ropes

No chains

That holds hope

To ease the pain

And as we turn

Our backs for good

The wounds and burns

We know they would

Mock sincerity

And the ignorance

Of what used to be

They called you and me
