There once was a girl with nothing to lose
With a pocket full of smiles, and only good news.
Her life was going good, no, it was great.
Little did she know, her life, she would soon hate.
It poured on her like rain, and drenched her wet.
Why was this happening, she didn't get.
Her smile disappeared, her heart quickly sank.
Her once beautiful mind, slowly drew a blank.
Society, they called it, began to take a toll.
Her life, dreaded, spiraled down a hole.
She gave up, she quit, she had enough.
She was done, she was lost, she was in the rough.

But a glimmer of hope, burned inside her, bright.
Without her knowledge, it was making things right.
The depression, they called it, was dwindling down.
Emotions were returning to their rightful town.
Her eyes lit up, with a feeling she longed.
A feeling that helped her, write out this song.

*Even when the light turns dark, you'll be alright
The sun will shine, day will be bright
