Dec 2013
Swinging with might from a light thin string
Going quickly from one side to the other
Syncopated with the muscle’s beat
But poised to drop no matter where.
I can’t seem to slow the momentum.
Sparks ignite its rhythmic sway
And your eyes create them,
Your voice, your touch.
I want to sway with you
forever. Then sometimes
as you reel in the line
I want to flee
but I’m hooked.
