Some places are meant to stay sacred,
like this one, hidden from the rest.

We sunk deeper in swirling volcanic-waters,
staring at the twinkling-milk splashed across the chilled-sky,
wondering about the birth of the universe.

Strange, how no one exists on the top of the world.
High on the altiplano, we saw the headlamps
of one lone trucker pass in seventeen days.

I still wonder if he might have been an alien,
like us, just passing through to the next galaxy.

Some places are meant to stay sacred,
like this one, hidden from the rest.
