Side A

"So, what else are you into?"
I ask with curiosity
"Other things in life"
he answers as if I couldn't guess

When questions are asked, answered are wanted
but your answers only spark curiosity and doubt in me
curiosity in you, and doubt in my hope

your answers turn short
burning holes in my hope
another question asked
another answer given.

Side B

"I don't know, you have to tell me."
I reply to his contemplation of truth
"Do I have to?"
He asks
I can feel your smirk through the text
Another hole burnt into my hope
"No, not really, I'm just trying to get to know you"
I attempt, holding to my faith like a bird to the sky

My curiosity continues to consume me
My doubt continues to eat me alive
you remind me of an indie record
soft
interested
distant

flip it over, I want to hear it again.
music, vintage, love, hope, falling for someone,
