Dec 2013
heavy timber fall
crushing mammoth stone

circle crumbles still
regret in living bone

air a crackling cage
a rack holding tight

guilt the thorny blanket
gripping iron might

where’s the other hope
started that same day

we ate their dreams
swept them all away
