Dec 2013
A wish, a promise
That could last forever
A spark spiraling up
From the fire
Winked out
In the smoke
In the night

Brick by brick
They build houses
One beam nailed
To another
Take one out
It doesn't fall down
Take another
And another
Huff and puff
And there's nothing left
Than a pile
Of Could've-Beens

A crack in the glass
And the whole window
Breaks
Crack in the ice
And I fall
Right through
