No you may not keep me.

I am something, that
Is born and dies in the same breath.
If you blink, I will have already left.

If you are waiting for me to come again
Do not look for me. I will hide
In the silences that come sudden
And are broken just as swift.

Just when you have forgotten me
I will appear again, hand on shoulder
Turning you slowly, ever so slowly

Know I will be gone by the time
You have received me.

Catch my afterglow
And go
