Literary Lie
The crisp pages
unfolded before
me.
Revealing a whole
new, exciting
world.
I dove in
with no
hesitation,
in search
for that
new adventure
that would
take me away
from the reality
of my
life.
As the pages
were coming
to an
end,
I wept.
Not because
the unfolding
story was
dismal.
But because
my imaginary
life was
coming to a
startling
halt.
