Vitis vinifera

by Awakening

Carpenter, please, Cut my shadow from Thy vine, For I'm barren of fine grape, And add but sour to Thy wine. Surrounded by smoked mirrors, Led in circles through the day, Mocked by images at night, Thy roots are dying in this clay. I wish I was blind to myself, I wish You'd hasten my decay, I wish my bitter fruit was sweet, Wish I could wish myself away. So, Master, please, Cut this darkness from Thy vine, For I am broken down and lost, And add but sour to Thy wine. ~ ~ ~ Awakening (from just after funeral Mass) Revelation Big Sur (M. Kozelek/Red House Painters) https://tinyurl.com/RevelationBigSurForAnieliki
