Defacing Art

One wouldn't deface a painting or any art

Because the artist created it in a certain way

Just as one wouldn't change

The melody of a musician's composition

And yet the art of poetry has been totally defaced

Couplets & stanzas obliterated due to restricted space

My poems are unrecognisable, as are many--

Therefore, with regret, I must remove my defaced art

Thank you, fellow artists, for your loving kindness

Autumn effortlessly shows us the art of letting go

And yet it's still the prelude to summertide's dream...

May your every breath & step

Be blessed on your quest for truth

~ Truth is unchanging ~

Therefore, nothing to add or subtract

Impermanence is an undeniable fact...

For now, I will remain the silent observer

With love and hope in my heart--

Farewells, at best, are never easy

But MAYBE the time has come to woefully depart ...
