Sunshine

navigates

through hedges, lilacs, and greens,

creates

shadow to trade with and for light,

while the variegated ground beckons both

washing over wide variation of brightness

that could crayon a canvas

before suddenly disappearing into all the gray

dis-opinionated but praying

for another tornado.

the sea breeze picks and lifts my hair,

while sunshine embraces me from behind:

that's the exact collision of chill and warmth

I might be cold

I do not feel cold

sunshine does not move around

telling me stillness has a strength that

wind's speed never heeds.

Under the golden sunbeam,

Yesterday and Tomorrow

both cracked

into prelude and sequel

of this moment

this exact moment.

Sunshine on, time off.

I’m addicted to sunshine, a disguise of shadow or dampness everywhere—conflict, concern, and contemplation.
