Veins

by @AbruisedBrokenThing

It's darker than normal, And constant. Drip, drip, drip, Pulsing too quickly. My heart races for the first time in, too long. I press the towel against it, White was a bad choice, A crimson flower blossoms, A piece of art. The gauze wraps once, Twice, Three times, it's not enough. Like a new high score, This is a high I'll be trying to reach, Forever. Go deep or go home, And I've never felt at home.
