Pleading

Find me

For I am lost in the woods

And it's dark.

I followed the footsteps of fallen warriors

Who died fighting the only war that matters

Having never found their love

And now the shadows grow close

The trees snag my clothes

And thorns rip my skin.

But I'm struggling on, deeper into the wild

Unwavering, but utterly alone.

Follow the trail of my blood

The signs of my passing

The ramblings scraped on the trees

I'll devote my life

Give up everything

Sacrifice my pride

Debase my honor

Crawl through grime

Fight the sea

Just find me
